Connections

Movement provides these designs with an extra dimension of joy for the wearer. Through the use of hot (soldered) and cold (unsoldered) ‘Connections’, these pieces are designed to provide soft and fluid motion when being worn and touched. Inspired by the influences that Geometry has within Nature, Olivia leans into the precision of mathematically planning each composition, to counterbalance the organic evolution of her ideas and forms. This to and fro, up and down, push and pull is emulated by the kinetic features in this collection.

Each composition is intended to create a balanced and harmonious aesthetic to reflect the harmony that has been desired in art and design throughout history, much like the use of the Golden Section. Olivia methodically connects sections with individually handmade staples and posts to provide fluidity between sections.
